Pictures of Holiday

Holiday has a sad story with a happy ending. She comes to us from San Angelo Tx, where she was the loving friend to a couple who was stationed at the air force base, there. When the couple was restationed in Hawaii they gave Holiday (not her orignal name) to a family member. That same family member was, a year later, stationed in Hawaii, as well. Feeling that they did not want to invest the time or money that it would take to bring Holiday with th
em, they took her to the local shelter. Unfortunatly, San Angelo's animal shelter is a kill shelter. When Holiday's 9th hour was upon her, she had a fortunate break, the San Angelo Humane Society stepped in and rescued her.
My mother happens to be a member of this group and she immediatly saw the running potential in this happy, healthy girl. That is how she came to be a Running Pawtner.
Holiday is a wonderfully tempered girl. She is about 2 yrs old. She is up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, and spayed. Holiday is crate trained, house trained and learning basic commands. She is good with cats and loves other dogs.
She is running 3 to 5 miles. She does not bother other dogs but is still learning how to stay clear of her runner. It won't take long though before she has that figured out. She is a smart girl.

She needs an active person who will make sure to make her a big part of their life.
