Reese and Gemma---Potential Running Pawtners

Reese and Gemma are littermates who were born deaf in December of 2004. They werebrought into Aussie Rescue in May 2005.---------

Reese is a sweet family dog. She is very good with kids, cats, and other dogs. Sheknows hand-signals for “sit,” “down,” “place/stay,” “good girl,” and “leave it.” She is spayed, microchipped, housetrained, up-to-date on shots, and current for flea andheartworm preventative. She is still a puppy, and is looking for an active familythat would like to include a new dog in their activities. She chews a bit, but iseasy to re-direct back to appropriate bones and toys. The highlight of Reese’s day is her morning run. She is eager to please and rather easy to train. For more information about Reese (and pictures), check out her web-page:http://web2.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=5011404

---------Gemma (Reese’s sister) was abused during her first months of life, and will need avery specific environment in which she can live happily and feel secure. As thevictim of violence from another dog, Gemma would be happiest as the only dog in hernew home. She is also highly excitable; we would prefer not to place her in familieswith cats or young children. Gemma has been training very hard to please her newfamily, and now has excellent manners. Still, she will do best in a home with anexperienced “dog person” who knows something (or is willing to learn) about packbehavior. Gemma is housetrained, microchipped, spayed, up-to-date on shots, andcurrent for flea and heartworm preventative. She knows “sit,” “down,” “place/stay,”“good girl,” “leave it,” and “heel.” She has experience running, and would be anexcellent running partner for some active individual. For more information aboutGemma (and pictures), please see her web-page:http://web2.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=5011403

---------Gemma is being fostered by Heather (hbonikowski@yahoo.com). Reese is soon to be fostered by ME. Please feel free to contact either Heather or myself if you are interested in either dog.
