Rescued from the brink

I would love you to meet the newest addition to our foster family....Chaco. This little guy is so great. He was set to be eunthanized at Town Lake. I think their thoughts were....who would want to spend the money and energy to save a mange puppy when there are so many puppies out there, who are healthy, and need saving. Well, to be honest, Kent wanted to save this mange puppy and I'm so glad he talked me into it. Chaco is precious. He is enduring being crated in the back, by himself. He waits happily till I am able to take him out to potty. He never whines...he is just the happiest little dog I have ever met. He loves to play ball and or fetch sticks. He plays..plays and plays. I can't describe how delightful this little guy is...you will have to meet him for yourself. I promise he will bring a smile to your face.

Sweet Puppy Looking For New Start

I was asked to come to Town Lake to check out a "maybe" Aussie X puppy who had been taken out of the adoption area because she had a sore on her back. Once a dog is pulled from the adoption area of Town Lake, the dog can either be taken in by a rescue group or they are put to sleep. I swallowed my fear of puppies (haven't fostered one in 7 yrs) and took this little girl home with me.
She is turning out to be a precious thing, playing with Bella and trying to play with Cricket (Cricket doesn't play with any dog).
Here are some pics. She is ready to go to a new home just as soon as one is found. Feel free to share this blog with others.
We are calling her Piper. She is 3 mos old and will be spayed, soon.
