Bella Races the Doggie Dash 5k

Kent and Bella took 2nd place in the 6 and under division, today, at the Doggie Dash 5k!

The race was put on by Hill Country Running Company which was voted one of Austin's dog friendliest businesses by the HCRC. Honestly, I can't remember who the race benefited but we went out to support a race that was dog friendly and to meet other dog running enthusiasts. We had high hopes that Kent and Bella would win the race until we saw that Jamie Cleveland and his dog Mollie would be running. Kent put up his best effort and with Bella's help they stayed close to Jamie and Mollie to pull off a 19:07 5k and second dog overall.
Zoe, myself, Cricket and Luna walked part of the course but decided to cut it short so we could watch Kent and Bella run across the finish line. We all had a great time. The course was flat and well marked and there was plenty of swag for the participants. Hopefully, we will see this race happen, again, next year.
